Description

Avineon is seeking a Senior Accountant to add to our accounting and finance team. The Senior Accountant will work with other financial department staff and report to the Controller.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals, and logs.
  • Follow our company's established accounting processes.
  • Support accounts receivable activities including: Invoicing T&M, CPFF, fixed price, and manual bills; commercial and federal billings; cash receipts; and collections.
  • Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions.
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors.
  • Maintain hard copy files.
  • Support Controller and CFO with report preparation.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Five years of experience, two of which must be in invoicing, accounts receivable, and cash receipts.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Experience with Deltek Cost Point accounting software preferred.
