Utility Plan Request and Topographic Survey

Upon your engineering support study request, our team downloads the urban plan of the area and requests, gathers, and assembles all underground utility plans.

If these plans are inaccurate or missing, the Avineon team executes the required topographic surveys of the public domains (streets), private properties, and buildings or infrastructures of the excavated area.

Path Configuration

We then optimize the path between the existing network and the building that needs to be connected while considering multiple factors, such as:

  • Cost efficiency
  • Special clearance/separation requirements needed to protect other utility networks, trees, or buildings
  • Minimizing impact on traffic during execution
  • Keeping pipe stress and displacement within the allowable parameters by using natural compensation, avoiding the use of expansion joints
  • Minimum depth requirements of the municipality
  • Condensate treatment

We use CAESAR II pipe analysis software to evaluate flexibility and stress. If a FEED was not previously executed, or in case the path needs to deviate considerably from the path established in the performed FEED study, Avineon delivers this plan to you, so you can conduct pricing and get it approved by the required authorities.

In addition, the Avineon team draws up a plan that shows the passage of the pipeline from the building transit to the gate valves (the limit of our interventions). The alternators and secondary circuit are conceived by HVAC engineers of the construction project, with whom we exchange in order to optimize the use of space.
Temporary Traffic Control Plans

A temporary traffic control plan, with respect to municipal policies, procedures, and guidelines, is prepared to separate the work zone and ensure the traffic flow during the execution of the works.

If required, quick updates can be performed to adapt to unforeseen circumstances.

Condensate Treatment with Steam Traps

We calculate the condensate water quantity, size the steam traps and return lines, and choose the cooling systems.

Calculations

Avineon performs calculations using the CODETI piping code:

  • Stress for different load cases
  • Displacements
  • Loads on restraints
  • Equivalent flange pressure
