Dispose of detailed maps over large areas by engaging photogrammetric techniques and classified LiDAR data.
Photogrammetry allows us to vectorize areas based on aerial imagary taken from different angles. As such, detailed maps can be created with numerous applications.
Classifying LiDAR data enables to conduct very accurate topographic surveys over large areas, including soil information, built-up area inventory, and a detailed analysis of different vegetation layers. In addition, LiDAR measurements taken from trains, cars, or dones, or measurements taken within buildings, contain a wealth of information about the present objects, which can even be vectorized from that LiDAR-data.
Use high-resolution aerial imagery and LiDAR data to create your own grid backgrounds and digital terrain models (DTM).
A precise DTM allows, for example, the production of watershed models that can be used to develop scenarios for flood risk prevention.
Create greater insight and awareness regarding your forests and forest resources through LiDAR point cloud classification of your soils, surfaces, and vegetation.
Obtain a detailed picture of the existing railway infrastructure by processing LiDAR measurements from trains.
By processing LiDAR-measurements taken within buildings, both the spaces themselves, and the objects present, can be modeled.
We group projects where we process aerial imagery, or map information from aerial imagery, under the heading of "photogrammetry". This includes the production of orthophotos, the creation of digital terrain models, 3D stereo restitution, and the capturing of 2D land information. This is how we, among others, create maps showing buildings, roads, watercourses, or land use - all in great detail.
How to tell the difference between a garden house, a container, or a fairground attraction on an aerial image is a relevant question for us. We therefore work closely with our flying partners and have already produced several maps convering the entire Belgian territory.
Raw LiDAR points need to be classified into a number of categories including, for example, bare earth or ground, top of canopy, and water. The semi-automatic process is often cumbersome, time-consuming, and labor-intensive, and, in addition, also requires a special eye for detail.
Our LiDAR technicians are trained to execute this task in a very efficient way, yet with a high level of accuracy.
