Data Warehousing
Avineon successfully designed, developed and delivered an Electromagnetic Interference Knowledge Management System (EMI KMS) for the U.S. Navy. This solution implements a knowledge architecture including the structure of the data warehouse, interfaces to multiple data sources, operational processes, diverse user groups, and responsible organizational entities developed into an XML-based data warehouse serving as the foundation of knowledge-based system architecture.
Avineon has become the premier solution provider for the Navy Data Environment (NDE) and has been identified as the key architect and developer to help NDE transition from a loose collection of monolithic data warehouses to a full Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) capable of securely exchanging data between the NDE component applications as well as with non-NDE data sources and tools. Significant strides are being made in the creation of interoperable systems through interfaces, standardized data management practices, and collaborative data-sharing environments.
Avineon uses a proven systems engineering approach and software development methodology. The data warehouse techniques allow for capability to acquire, combine, store, organize, facilitate and automate data in the Afloat Master Planning System (AMPS) and the Shipboard Electromagnetic Compatibility Improvement Program (SEMCIP) Technical Assistant Network (STAN) database in support of the C5I Modernization Process (C5IMP).
