Cognitive Networks - Swarm Simulation
Because the cognitive network has proven to be a very simple and lightweight mechanism with which to develop intelligent-behaving agents, it was a natural step to implement a simulated swarm behavior. A simple swarm was set up where members attracted each other at long distances, but repelled each other in close proximity. Swarm members were attracted the mouse pointer and were also repelled from the red obstacles in that space. A video of the simulation results of the swarm transiting across the space is available here (22 sec - 12 MB).
