CMMI Maturity Level 3

The Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI) is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective software and systems development processes. CMMI is an internationally recognized method for evaluating and measuring the maturity of an organization's software development processes. It can be used to guide process improvement across a project, division, or an entire organization. CMMI helps integrate traditionally separate organizational functions, set process improvement goals and priorities, provide guidance for quality processes, and provide a point of reference for appraising current processes.

Our dedication to quality has led Avineon to achieve CMMI Maturity Level 3, having achieved this rating through an independent Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPIsm) Class A appraisal in November 2005. Achieving a CMMI Maturity Level 3 rating demonstrates that Avineon’s software and systems engineering solutions apply systematic and disciplined approaches, which result in quality outcomes and benefits for Avineon customers. Our achievement of this objective is representative of our commitment to operational excellence and demonstrates our ability to provide quality products and services to our customers.

For many organizations, achieving CMMI Maturity Level 3 is sufficient. For Avineon, the journey has just begun. Avineon’s goal is to continue our process improvement initiatives and maintain operational excellence with a goal of achieving CMMI Maturity Levels 4 and 5.
