Herentals, Belgium – Vught, Netherlands – January 26, 2012 – Avineon Europe Ltd., a successful provider of information technology, geospatial, and engineering support services, today announced the appointment of Klaas Dijkstra as Project Manager, Geospatial Data Management.

 Mr. Dijkstra has almost twenty years of experience in the geospatial industry. His background includes traffic modeling, environmental studies, data migration and integration, software development, and project management. Mr. Dijkstra has a high level data engineering knowledge and is a  FME Certified Professional. At Avineon, he will manage geospatial data management projects for utility, telecom, and government customers. In addition, he will serve as the FME subject matter expert for data migration and conflation projects throughout Europe.

Avineon began operations on January 19, 1992 with a single employee. Since then, the company has expanded to more than 800 employees located in multiple offices across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and India. The company’s services have also expanded significantly.
