Alexandria, Va. – December 9, 2008 – Avineon, Inc. (www.avineon.com), a successful provider of IT, geospatial, engineering and program management solutions, today announced the appointment of Timothy Brewster as Environmental Account Manager within Avineon’s Federal Systems Division.  In his position, Brewster will be responsible initially for business development under the company’s Software Engineering Specialized Scientific Support (SES3) contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Brewster brings more than 13 years of environmental regulatory experience and nearly seven years of Fortune 500 consulting experience to Avineon. His consulting experience includes providing environmental solutions to government agencies, including the EPA, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ), and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. He also has supported mission critical applications and services at the Bureau of the Census’ Decennial Support and Processing Office, and the Internal Revenue Service’s Business Rules and Requirements Management Office.

“Tim’s in-depth knowledge of the EPA’s technical environment, culture and business drivers will be an enormous asset to Avineon as we seek to add to our successes within the environmental business sector,” said Charles Erdrich, vice president of business development with Avineon. “I look forward to working with him as we grow our IT and Geospatial services business across our environmental customer base.”

At the national level, Brewster has worked with the National Governors Association and the Environmental Council of the States, where he participated in developing environmental data standards and the electronic reporting of environmental data through EPA’s Environmental Exchange Network.  As an environmental regulator, he was responsible for managing all surface water enforcement activities within the state of Louisiana, served as a Subject Matter Expert for the Calcasieu Estuary Task Force and the East Baton Rouge Zoning Commission, and led the implementation of LDEQ’s Integrated Data Management System.

“Avineon has a long record of success with customers in the federal IT industry by providing them with the necessary tools to complete mission-critical tasks,” said Brewster. “I welcome the opportunity to further enhance Avineon’s industry presence by leveraging my experience within the environmental IT field.”

Brewster has a master’s degree in environmental science from Louisiana State University, Project Management Professional Certification from the Program Management Institute, and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certification from the ITIL Certification Management Board.
