Virginia Chamber of Commerce Names Avineon FANTASTIC 50 Award Winner
Alexandria-Based Technology Company Recognized as One of the Fastest Growing Companies Across the Commonwealth of Virginia
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – April 30, 2007 – Avineon, Inc., a successful provider of IT, geospatial, engineering and program management services, announced today it has been named a FANTASTIC 50 company by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce. This exclusive annual awards program recognizes leading businesses across Virginia for high revenue and sales growth. Avineon has grown at the average annual rate of more than 40 percent over the past four years and projects continued growth at the same rate or greater in 2007. This year marks Avineon’s second appearance on the list.
The FANTASTIC 50 awards program honors leading businesses that are privately held and headquartered in Virginia. The competition this year was impressive with nominations received from Virginia companies across multiple industries including manufacturing, retail, wholesale, service and technology. Companies were evaluated on sales revenue history over the past four years. Winning companies were honored at a banquet held April 26, 2007 at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly with nearly 500 attendees recognizing the FANTASTIC 50 companies for their entrepreneurial success.
