Avineon Promotes Raghu Ganeshan to President of India Subsidiary
Technology veteran will lead rapid growth of Avineon India Private Limited as the company further expands its reach into the Asia-Pacific region
Alexandria, Va. – July 31, 2006 – Avineon, Inc., a successful provider of IT, geospatial, engineering and program management services, announced today the promotion of Raghu Ganeshan to President of Avineon India Private Limited (AIPL), the India-based subsidiary of Avineon, Inc. As president, Ganeshan holds direct responsibility for AIPL’s operational affairs in engineering, computer-aided design, geographic information systems (GIS) and IT services. Since its founding in 1998, the subsidiary has grown from employing twenty to a current staff of more than 350 employees.
Holding more than seven years of tenure with Avineon, Ganeshan most recently served as acting president of AIPL. Under Ganeshan’s leadership, the company will continue to diversify its geospatial and engineering portfolios with increased business development efforts in the Asia and Pacific markets. Ganeshan will focus on strategy, operations and execution and work closely with AIPL’s customers, management and employees to fuel future growth. AIPL will also intensify its strategy and development initiatives to enter specific IT services areas and build upon its reputation as a key technology service provider in India and throughout the region.

Since joining Avineon in 1999, Ganeshan has held a number of top management roles within the company’s operations in the United States and India. He has been instrumental in developing AIPL’s presence as a reliable provider of end-to-end solutions. Ganeshan’s technical background includes GIS data modeling, requirements study, large scale database creation and maintenance, systems integration, application development and data migration.
