Avineon to Address Outsourcing at Geospatial Information and Technology Conference
What: At the annual Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) Conference, Avineon, Inc., a successful provider of IT, engineering, geospatial and program management services, will provide an overview of the key components to establishing an effective data acquisition and maintenance outsourcing process. While organizational knowledge developed in contracting construction, engineering or other information technology services can be helpful, it does not ensure outsourcing success.
In a presentation entitled, “Solicitation and Contracts for Data Acquisition and Maintenance,” Chad Davis, Business Manager, will outline the risks and considerations in planning for a data acquisition and maintenance outsourcing project. Key points Mr. Davis will cover include:
- Understanding the commercial risks associated with data acquisition and how to mitigate them
- Learning how to communicate data acquisition needs clearly in a request for proposal
- Identifying the circumstances unique to data acquisition in contracting
A sponsor of this year’s conference, representatives from Avineon will be on hand to discuss the company’s geospatial solutions at booth # 505.
