Avineon, Inc. Names Head of European Operations

Alexandria, VA (March 22, 2004): Avineon, Inc., a leading provider of geospatial, engineering and information technology solutions, today announced the appointment of Peter Van Es as Managing Director of Avineon Europe Ltd. Based in Belgium, Mr. Van Es will be responsible for the satisfaction of the Avineon's clients in Europe; management of the firm's offices in UK, France, and Belgium; and business development. Avineon currently markets geospatial solutions and engineering services in Europe.

Prior to joining Avineon, Mr. Van Es held various executive positions. He worked with Tele Atlas for over thirteen years, and was one of the co-founders of the operations in Belgium. At Tele Atlas, Mr. Van Es, as Chief Commercial Officer and Board Member was responsible for the worldwide commercial development and management of the company. He also worked for Xeikon International NV as Vice President Sales and Marketing and offered consulting services including qualitative/quantitative market studies and feasibility studies for new businesses.

Mr. Van Es speaks Flemish, Dutch, English, French, and German. He graduated from Delft Technical University, Netherlands as a Civil Engineer. He also has bachelors and masters degrees in business administration from Limburg University, Belgium.
