InfoTech Awarded Department of Transportation STATUS Omnibus Contract to Provide Geographic/Geospatial Information Systems Services and Products
Alexandria, VA (May 16, 2001): InfoTech Enterprises, Inc., announced today that it has won the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Transportation Administrative Service Centers’ (TASC), Specialized Technical and Technology User Services (STATUS) Omnibus contract for Geographic/Geospatial Information Systems services.
STATUS is a seven-year $980 million (ceiling) contract.
"The fact that STATUS can be used by State & Local governments, as well as Federal agencies makes it an excellent fit with our geospatial business base," said InfoTech’s President & CEO, Karlu Rambhala.
The DOT TASC Information Technology Operations Unit will use this contract to support government customers who seek to rapidly acquire a wide array of specialized or "niche" information technology (IT) services and support. InfoTech will be providing services in the following areas: Imagery Analysis and Processing, GIS Systems Support, GIS Application Support, Modeling and Visualization, GIS Data Management, GIS Data Communication Enabling, Computer Aided Facilities Management, Cartography, CAD and Related Services.
