Information Security Specialist
Position Title:Information Security Specialist Position Summary : Avineon Inc. is seeking exceptional individuals with experience in advanced network security. As an Information Security Specialist, you will participate in diverse and challenging engagements at client site. The job responsibilities will vary based on the project scope and deliverables. Seeking a qualified candidate with 5+ years of experience in Information Security, Certification and Accreditation (C&A), security policy and procedures, auditing, security compliance monitoring, and network engineering using best practices in an enterprise environment. Required Experience/Skills: The candidate is required to have strong knowledge with: IDS Cisco Routers Snort Nessus Foundstone Ecora Tenable Must have knowledge and experience with Federal Government regulations such as: FISMA and OMB A-130 and familiarity with NIST Special Publications Knowledge of common controls in terms of C&A processes and streamlined application of such. The ability to provide secure solutions while applying the Information Systems Security Engineering process during all phases of system life cycles to meet the Information Assurance needs. Must possess technical ability to engineer secure information systems while adhering to the Information Assurance Technical Framework. Conduct system administration responsibilities for the system that creates and stores all certification and accreditation documentation and the information security awareness training system. The ideal candidate will also have the following qualifications: Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork skills Strong requirements gathering, analysis and organization skills Strong technical writing skills CISSP or other certification is a plus Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline. Clearance: Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident to obtain/ maintain a minimum background investigation for security clearance.
