Information Security Analyst
Position Title: Information Security Analyst Position Summary : Avineon, Inc. is looking to add to our dynamic and varied team of security professionals. We are seeking a qualified candidate with 5+ years of experience in information security, certification and accreditation (C&A), security policy and procedures, auditing, security compliance monitoring, and network engineering using best practices in an enterprise environment. The successful candidate will have specialized experience in such areas as IT Security Program Management for the Federal Government: in-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; development of policy, procedures and technical standards; certification and accreditation, IT security operations, and compliance monitoring. Required Experience/Skills: Analyze IT security environment and develop threat and vulnerability assessments. Conduct System Certification and Accreditation Conduct security and vulnerability analysis Conduct system test and evaluation (ST&E) Conduct general security controls reviews Perform Security documentation reviews Conduct Security assessment and assist in policy development Knowledge of Federal Government regulations such as: FISMA and OMB A-130 and familiarity with NIST Special Publications Understanding of System Development Life Cycle methodology Knowledge of computer system architecture Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and Access Excellent writing skills. The ideal candidate will also have the following qualifications: Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork skills Strong requirements gathering, analysis and organization skills Strong technical writing skills Experience using system development life cycle methodology CISSP or other certification is a plus Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline.
